The subject matter in my work is varied, but the emphasis is on space and how our experience of the physical and psychological come together to create something beyond what is immediately perceived.

My work has been described as being about memory, fear and loss, and that is in part true. But I think that my real interest is in an ongoing attempt to form a new understanding of history, not as a sequential narrative leading from one point to the next, but as the residue of information and memory that accumulates to create the structure within which we live our lives.
